DP Economics Excursion 明道國際部DP經濟學校外教學

明道中學國際部經濟學Johnson、物理學Glen以及視覺藝術Finn三科教師合作，帶領G11學生參訪彰化的東伸運動公司（Takino直排輪），該公司林經理以經濟與營銷的角度，介紹直排輪運動的發展，以及市場運銷和外貿概況，同學能從經濟學課程所學提出相關回應，其次從材料科技的角度，同學也重新思考物理學定律的各種應用，再者，廠商也提出運動服飾設計活動，讓同學發揮視覺藝術所學專業進行實體創作。最後有關企業永續經營所面臨之挑戰，同學也踴躍提出許多建設性的論點，包含遷廠他國的議題、小三通與兩岸經貿、國內拓展零售通路的可行性。

除了知識性的介紹和場內觀察，廠商也安排了直排輪花樁選手進行現場表演，並提供同學進行輪鞋以及曲棍球體驗。在短短兩個小時的參訪，帶給了同學滿滿的收穫和回憶。

MDID economics, physics and visual arts collaboration field trip. G11 students of MDID went on a field trip on Jan 15, visiting Takino hi-end roller blade corporation, manager Lin of Takino introduced about the development of roller blade sports, the current marketing and export condition, the technological application and design, and various challenges which the corporation is faced in achieving sustainability. Students were able to incorporate the teachings of relevant subjects, and provide constructive suggestions and arguments throughout the discussion. There is also a design project on sporting apparels which allows the students to realize their design talents. In addition to observing the manufacture site, students were given the opportunity of watching roller skating performance, and actually trying on roller skates to experience the feel of gliding.
