107 學年度國際部暑期信件 2019-20 Summer Notice

親愛的國際部學生與家長，

暑期愉快！每一年國際部持續精進，今年整體發展也有許多的進步和正在進行的活動，

  • 今年12年級畢業生海外升學再現高峰！因為他們的努力與堅持，父母親無悔的付出，每個孩子在申請大學上都有令人驕傲的表現！四分之一的孩子進入*世界前十名的學校、半數的孩子進入世界前50的學校！希望學弟妹們以學長姐為榮，並且以他們為楷模繼續努力，創造另外一個國際部的高峰。

  • 年初，明道國際部正式通過IB MYP課程授權，是繼2018年完成DP認證之後的另外一個重要的里程碑，使得明道成為完整授權授課的國際學校。第一屆DP學生已完成首次外部考試模擬測驗，並緊鑼密鼓地為了海外申請大學和正式DP外部測驗做準備，請所有學弟妹在未來的一年，一定要給學長姐最大的祝福和打氣。

  • 目前有許多位學生正在海外參與著世界童軍大露營，在活動中學習成為獨立自主他終身學習者，期待他們開學後帶回來的分享！

  • 部分同學在暑假期間，透過服務的行動，將前往苗栗華興國小、九德國小和其他地方，進行暑期英語營隊，用學生的身份將自身可以對社會有貢獻的地方，無條件地付出，將愛與希望傳遞出去！

  • 九升十的同學，利用暑假必須開始思考並去進行自己的個人專題計畫，個人計畫關乎了未來的升學與發展，是學生寶貴的機會可以在十年級一年當中，利用個人時間完成的重要成就！

國際部課程發展小組，為了學生最大利益與考量，將在108學年度對整體課程發展做局部的調整及各項軟硬體設備，新的學年度將會有以下革新項目：

  • 英文精進課程

  • 數學分班

  • 國際部外師輔導員

  • 生輔人員

  • 新進教室

  • 國際部教室

2019-20 School Year MDID Summer Notice


Dear Parents and students of Mingdao High School International Department, 

Another school year has passed, this school year so much progress has been made. Below are some outstanding achievements and ongoing events:

  • Class 2019 has shown yet another impressive year of results. A quarter of our class 2019 has successfully been accepted into top 10 universities around the world*. And half of class 2019 have been offered a place into top 50 universities around the world. 

  • This year, a major milestone for the school is that we are now officially an IB World School in both MYP and DP programs. 

  • Our first year of DP students has successfully completed their DP mock exams, and are now currently full steam ahead preparing for their external exams in May 2020. We wish them all the best of luck. 

  • MDID students are participating in various summer programs and events. 

  • Grade 9 students started their personal project, they will spend time over summer planning for it. 

We are working tirelessly to develop our programs, curriculum, and building improvements. Changes to the next school year are listed below:

  • Change to the Facilities
